Mrs.Tarren Arendse is the Head of Culture.

At Westering High School, we recognize the need for learners to develop moral, social, and cultural sensibilities. To do so we offer an array of Cultural opportunities in which learners are encouraged to participate, grow and learn.  These include the following:

BALLROOM: Learn the Waltz, Latin dances and Line-dancing.

CHOIR: An 80-strong mixed Choir that performs at events and festivals.

CRAFT CLUB: Engage in making various Arts & Crafts.

DECIBELLES: An all girls acapella group.

DEBATING: Learners will learn how to debate and participate in league debates as well as hosting debates at our school.

DRAMA: Our drama club teaches learners how to prepare for the stage by developing acting skills and learning how to prepare for auditions.

MARIMBA BAND: Rehearse and play Marimbas at various events and functions

MR & MISS WESTERING: For Grade 10/11 learners only (by audition).

PHOTOGRAPHY CLUB: Acquire photography skills and take photos of various events.

PUBLIC SPEAKING: Participate in the annual Public speaking competition and other public speaking events.

QUIZ: Participate in the annual Inter-House Quiz.

STEEL BAND (Jnr): Mentored by the senior steel band.

STEEL BAND (Snr): Rehearse and play steel pans at various events and functions.

THE WESTRINGER: Quarterly magazine publication for learners.
